Wallace Wunkle's Tragedy Factory (game demo)

Play out a troubling allegory as a fantastical factory tour

Wallace Wunkle, the reclusive manufacturing genius, has personally invited you to tour his spectacular factory! It’s the chance of a lifetime, an offer extended to just four lucky youngsters!

Wunkle's wondertabular factory floats through the sky, belching colourful smoke. It makes all manner of unlikely products! Truculent Seeploggles! Mk II Zuffy Flatdusters! Blue Ridable Hasturs! Argyle Upplehints! Nobody knows how he does it, but do it he sure does!

There are those who suspect Wallace Wunkle to be some sort of dangerous fellow, but there are those who will suspect anyone of anything! Don’t listen to them!

Mr Wunkle will be leading the factory tour personally. Hooray!

An experimental solo roleplaying game

In this 24-page prototype of my journaling game, you'll:

• See all the remarkable things Wunkle's factory has to offer
• Avoid tragedy by playing as the one ‘good child’ on the tour
• Witness the other children fall prey to their foibles
• Learn an unsound moral lesson from this experience

Explore the wonderful and horrifying Wunkle factory

During gameplay, you'll generate a bizarre environment and send the characters through it. You'll create and record a narrative account of the tour group's explorations.

Wallace Wunkle's Tragedy Factory is in active development. When complete, it will have two or three times this demo's content. I intend to release it as both a digital download and a physical volume!
