Landfall (prototype)

You have fallen off a fantastical flying island.
You have ten seconds before you hit the ground.

Landfall is a short, solo, pen-and-paper RPG. You’ll explore the kinds of stories that come about when an intrepid heroic fantasy character falls from an island in the sky and must come up with a plan to avoid ending up as a crater.

GAMEPLAY

Landfall is a game that’s fast to play and concerned only with the problem presently befalling you. You’ll need to make creative decisions as you try to come up with, and then carry out, a plan to get you out of this jam.

Your plan will no doubt involve some of the magical items, powers, and favours owing that a fantasy character tends to have access to.

Try not to hit any birds or drop any key items into the howling slipstream!

A PROTOTYPE

This is an ashcan version of Landfall, but one that’s already fully playable. If people like this, I have a plan for developing Landfall into a deeper game with additional art and layout work, sophisticated mechanics and bonus rules, side goals, more story, and tons of random tables.
